Welcome to our new-look HwDAA website. We hope you like it.
Our waiting lists are open.
If you have recently applied for a plot – thank-you for hitting the apply button, but please remember to contact the membership secretary. Your application will not be processed until you do.
Spring news, featuring a note from our new president John Holland and a jobs list for April, May & June. (click the header to download)
Other newsletters are available in the information area.
The next edition will go out at the end of June. Please let Gill Turner have any contributions.
We welcome relevant contributions from members of HwDAA. You don’t have to produce a polished piece, a few sentences or draft notes are fine. The maximum for any article is 500 words and all items can be edited.
We need a volunteer events planner. In the past we’ve run various events including beginners courses, pruning workshops and cream teas. If you would like to take on this role we’d love to hear from you.
Calling all photographers: we would like photographs of your allotment for the gallery. Including crop successes & failures, wildlife, shedlife, beautiful views and anything else you find interesting!

Is delivered to dumps on Alderman Moore’s, Bower Ashton, White City and Kennel Lodge 1.
It’s £4.00 per wheelbarrow load or £39 for a year’s worth (30 barrow loads).
The system is based on trust
It is a great service for tenants and we aim to cover our costs. Please pay for and monitor your own use of compost.
Payment can be made through BACS to the same bank details as your invoice payment. Use the reference “Your plot number compost”.
If our supply is stopped and we are unable to continue to offer the compost, tenants who have paid for a year’s supply will be offered a pro rata refund.
Have a look at how to use it.
